Heavy Industry automated: Grinding fillet weld on a steel disk
For this application at MCE in Linz the ACF 120-10 was combined with a 4 KW belt sander. The application removes the welding seam from a huge steel disk. The custom construction and a vacuum unit were mounted on an industrial crane. This solution massively improved the performance in abrasion. The work step that previously took up to 18 hours of hard manual work is now accomplished automatically in less than one hour.
