The Active Contact Flange is contact sensitive and force controlled, because it is actuator and sensor in one. The simple pre-setting for the contact force makes the active contact flange extremely flexible to implement. For the quality assurance of keyboards the Actice Contact Flange shows tow major benefits: The freely adjustable contact force allows smooth adjustment of the test parameters while integrated position sensors give feedback about movements done. This way correkte keys are tested in a defined way and faulty keys are discovered easily.
